Julian Bragagna was one of five Tech Artists who developed the toolset for Project Grot, an in-house tech demo released by SideFX last year to highlight the potential of procedural generation in game development. Since its release, SideFX has been sharing tools and tutorials that explore the techniques used in the demo, and Julian contributed a tutorial focused on creating procedural flesh and ruins tools that seamlessly integrate with your scene.

This charming tool will be featured in an upcoming new free tutorial for SideFX by Julian, which is coming soon. It has a pretty natural, hand-modeled look, and as Julian shared, the best part is that it’s entirely instanced, everything except the ropes is made using just three models.
