In classic Tekken style, Tekken 8 is full of lore and additional “what if” lore content. With a brilliant new story mode and plenty of catch-up material in the game, there's a lot to explore.
All of the title's canonical narratives are accompanied by Character Episodes – mini arcade mode runs in which each character appears in their final games of the King of Iron Fist tournament. After completing four fights, you get a beautiful cinematic ending that shows what would happen if your chosen fighter wins.
However, you may notice that Jun and new fighter Reina's character episodes are locked when you first start the mode. Here's how to unlock them.
How to unlock Jun and Reina's character episodes
To avoid spoilers for these returning and entirely new characters, their character episodes are the only two that are locked. To unlock her, you'll need to complete the game's main story mode, which introduces us to Reina and provides more details about Jin's mother, Jun Kazama. The story consists of 15 chapters and can be completed in a maximum of six hours, depending on the chosen difficulty level and gameplay style. Luckily, it's a great experience so it's no trouble at all to complete.
