Unfortunately, according to the latest update, Palworld's nail economy is in shambles. In case you missed this special patch, nails used to sell for an obscene 160 gold each, making them a great way to make money. This was fixed so players had to resort to easier work. Just like plowing fields or setting up a never-ending death trap, their victims have no hope of escaping – wait a minute.
As discovered by GamesRadarThis trick has actually been around for a while, but has become fashionable since nails are no longer the main currency in the Palpagos Islands.
Once you've shredded the nails, I guess bootlegging is the way to make gold. out of r/Palworld
Step one: Find a bootlegger. Step two: Set up a hanging trap. Step three: Build a fire underneath. This merchant is usually a difficult fight for new players, but the hanging trap makes it completely ineffective, allowing you to pick around 12,000 gold a pop from his slowly roasted corpse, like some sort of terrible prey piñata.
The fire actually has a mechanical purpose that goes beyond crimes against humanity – fire damage deals a percentage of maximum health, and so a group of players defeated a boss buddy like a bunch of hunter-gatherers cornering the megafauna. It's a great way to punch above your weight and allows low-level players to kill the helpless guy without sacrificing the weapon's durability.
The worst (financially speaking, the best) thing about it? The black market dealer appears new every day. On this farm, a living, breathing soul is trapped in a terrible loop, hanging upside down and roasting like a Lamball shank for all eternity. It's the kind of Greek god-style punishment usually reserved for rule-breakers like Prometheus, who was forced to have his liver hacked out by an eagle once a day.
Hell, that's actually preferable – since Heracles ends up freeing the poor guy. I don't think anyone would choose this bastard considering he likes to buy captured people from you. Come to think of it, the jerk might have made it.
